Herkimer Diamonds are a form of Quartz found in and named after the Herkimer region in New York USA. They are usually clear and transparent but can contain inclusions of carbon, oil, or water (enhydro). Some are “smokey” in color. They are mainly formed as double terminated points and can vary considerably in size.
