Serpentine Meaning and Properties

Serpentine is the name given to a group of magnesium silicate minerals that are mainly green in color although other colors can occur. This color variation can be seen in such crystals as Lizardite whose color is pale yellow/lime green, Bowenite whose color is usually a deeper ‘apple’ green often with creamy/paler green colored markings, and New Jade a pale to mid green and Atlantisite mixture of lime to deep green with mauve to purple Stichtite are examples of Serpentine and show the variation in its color.

The frequency of Serpentine connects to the Earth star and all of the physical chakras opening and cleansing them of blocked or stagnant energy, allowing for energy to flow freely throughout the chakric column.

The energy of this stone can help to awaken the Kundalini energies and thus in doing so activates the chakric system aiding with physical healing and wellbeing.

Serpentine can have a strong resonance to the heart chakra offering emotional support so that one can become in tune with one’s emotional nature allowing one to see the emotional side of one’s life with a positive perspective.

Bowenite, pictured, is a member of this group of minerals that contains iron (it is a form of Antigorite) and can be darker in color than other forms often with creamy/green markings. It can aid one with Emotional Issues and helps one to dispel negative feelings such as sorrow. Bowenite can help one to overcome emotional traumas so that one can ‘move on’ with one’s life.
